The London Vampyre (sic) Group gives you the opportunity to live out your darkest fantasies, with no questions asked. The group has regular meetings on the second Thursday of every month at the Plounge, Museum Street and on various occasions through the year.
Members span all walks of life. Sailors, lawyers and punk rockers. You name it, you will find them here. The most common get-up is the pale face with blood trickling from the side. Evening attire consists of long white fangs, black capes and hypnotic eyes, the result being classic Victorian vampires with Gothic style.
Members of this vampire society not only fancy the vampires, but also invest a lot in their dresses and costumes. Rebecca, the secretary of Vampyre Group told Offbeat that "the costumes were extremely expensive, and that a basic Victorian Gothic dress costs £400."
Since shops for vampire fans are very rare, many of the members dresses are handmade. The only blood these vampires are interested in is ‘new blood’.
So, do not panic. Go join!
